Thessalon First Nation is composed of one Chief and five Councillors. The term of Office for Band Council is 3 years. Chief and Council are elected representatives of the Band Members, in accordance with Section 5 of the Thessalon First Nation Custom Election Code (see link below). As the Bands elected representatives, the Chief and Council are the authorized local government.
